Malkavian's, upon their first death they see things. Many take this as knowledge, some try to shut it out, others can not handle the overwhelming flood on their senses. Some believe that everything they lived with before was wrong. Other Malkavian's seem very normal, all however hold something down in the depths of their mind which is insanity. They 'know' the world in a way that most can not. Any other Kindred look and see the Malkavian's as a bunch of raving lunatics.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Clan of Malkav as earned it's reputation from it's worse members. Nobody remembers the Malkavian Keeper who did his job well for 60 years, they only remember the raging lunatic that had to be put down last week. It's true that all Malkavian's have a Derangement of some kind, but they still were real people at some point.

Malkavian's are not the comic relief in a world of suffering, they suffer to, but their's is the most often laughed at.

Disciplines: Auspex, Dementation, Obfuscate

Clan Advantages: All Malkavian's have special insight that gives them one free level of Awareness and Malkavian Time. Malkavian's also have the ability to recognize others of their clan on sight and sometimes can even pass along information through use of the Malkavian Madness Network.

Disadvantage: All Malkavian's have at least one derangement that they must choose at Character Creation; this initial derangement can never be removed.

Feeding Grounds: Monroe County

Organization: The Malkavian Clan, known to some as 'The Clan of The Moon' holds little to no internal organization. Malkavian's minds all share a common thread of Madness. This thread links them and allows little bit's and snippets of each though slide out from one Clan mate to the next. There are some like minded Malkavian's that pop up in the clan, and they are loosely defined by Traditions. For more information on traditions please read the Malkavian Clan packet.

Malkavian Abilities: Malkavian Time

This ability measures the Malkavian's attunement to the MMN. Only full-blooded Malkavian's may purchase this ability. This is the only ability that can be used with the MMN and is the only retest involving MMN communications, sending and receiving. More information on the Madness Network can be found here: The Habit of Being Malkavian Clan Packet

Malkavian Notables

Nurse Hatchett Name: Julie Meadows aka Nurse Hatchett
Clan: Malkavian
Tradition: Ignorance
Domain Arrival: Early December of 2001.
Coterie: Unknown.

Is she a homicidal sociopath or a tender caregiver? In truth, "Nurse Hatchett" may simply be an unfortunate victim of circumstance. Once affiliated with the twisted Dr. McKlint, Nurse Hatchett served the not-so-good doctor in administering horrendous "treatments" upon unwary patients. Julie has moved to Atlanta and become Malkavian Primogen, but still; in McKlint's departure, Nurse Hatchett has longed for other means of soothing the madness that seeps and claws at her mind. Somewhere in the near distance a baby cries for attention...

"Hush little baby don't say a word. Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird..."

Bloody Mary Name: Mary Anne Cleaver aka Bloody Mary
Clan: Malkavian-Antitribu
Tradition: Detachment
Domain Arrival: First seen in June of 2002.
Coterie: The Bitches of Eastwick.

Mary is the product of a severely abusive family. Raised by a hateful mother, Mary was beaten and verbally assaulted on a nightly basis. Mary's mother had numerous male "friends" who would also abuse and take advantage of Mary at a very young age. Among her mother's favorite punishments, was locking Mary in a dark closet and leaving her for hours and sometimes days. Though Mary would scream that "the monsters" were going to get her, mother dearest never let her out.

One evening, after being locked in this closet for over 2 nights, something changed in Mary and "the monsters" did get her. Upon escaping from the confines of the closet, Mary eviscerated her mother and became "Bloody Mary"; the final answer to little boys and girls who became too curious.

It is said that when one looks into a mirror, turns out the lights, and utters her name three times, she will appear and kill the victim in the most horrible of fashions. Is the rumor true or is it just an urban legend? Try it and see...

"I told you not to say it!"
