The Habit of Being

The sewer rats of the undead, the Nosferatu live their immortal lives scurrying beneath the world looking, listening, knowing but not always telling. A network of informants loyal only to one another but handy to all...at a price. Even above the Tremere, they are probably the tightest clan. They rely on brotherhood and honesty with one another to survive the countless centuries of persecution and inability to blend in with mortal society.

Many Nosferatu are forever pained by their unsightliness, and this fuels a rivalry with the Toreador and the Tzimisce who are renowned for their beauty. These clans are not alone in their scrutiny from the Nosferatu who eternally criticize and judge all outsiders. They are also separated by a level of duty and accountability wherein they do not attempt to hide their actions with stories of grandeur and deception. If they kill a Brujah because he angered them, they own up to that reason and do not try to cloud the issue with made up stories about him being Sabbat or a breech of the Masquerade. Hypocrisy is constantly under attack by the clan.

Nosferatu Disciplines: Animalism, Obfuscate, Potence

Clan Advantages: Survivors - All Nosferatu gain one free Trait in Stealth and one Ability Trait of Survival at no cost. This reflects their skill at hiding and gaining secrets.

Clan Disadvantages: Ugly - No Nosferatu may ever possess the Social Traits Alluring, Gorgeous, or Seductive without using some manner to disguise themselves and gain those Traits. All Nosferatu suffer the Negative Social Trait Repugnant X 3 in their true forms, which cannot be later bought off with Experience Points or Freebies. While in their apparent form, no Nosferatu may initiate Social Challenges except for the purpose of intimidation, though they may defend as normal.

Feeding Grounds: Wilkinson County

Organization: Nosferatu society is broken down into units known as broods. Broods are run by consensual agreement, though the opinions of the elders are held with great weight.

Nosferatu Notables

Name: Theodore "Ted" Lebowski
Clan: Nosferatu
Domain Arrival: Early June of 2000.
Coterie: Ted is not currently affiliated with any known Coteries.

Ted is a die hard heavy metal and goth music fan. Numerous cd's ranging from Pantera to Cradle of Filth can always be found in his small haven located deep within the Warrens. In addition to his musical tastes, Ted loves power tools. He longs for the day when he is able to freely roam Lowe's for hours on end without the hindrance of security cameras. Until then, Ted makes due by bribing the occasional hardware shopper with cash in order to have them purchase the tools he desires. Ted lived beneath the city of Milledgeville for years and could normally be seen moving about below ground with a Buster's ice cream cone and humming an Anthrax tune. Ted's independence from sect policy allowed him to see the terrible conflicts raged both above ground and below without fear of harm. Ted is now the Primogen of Atlanta after playing a big roll in the re-taking of Atlanta. Now he has bigger fish to fry...like getting tickets to Ozzfest.

Name: Sister Mercy of the Warrens
Clan: Nosferatu
Domain Arrival: Far before any sect ruled the state.
Coterie: Unknown.

Very little is known of Sister Mercy. Her lengthy age and prowess earned her the right to proclaim herself Warren Master of the state many years ago. As years passed, many claimed Sister Mercy to be a practitioner of dark, infernal magic who sought demonic reign across the lands. Others revered her as an angelic entity cast down from the Heavens into a hideous, physical form to seek redemption. Eventually, raging pits of molten fire called forth to Sister Mercy and enveloped her amidst their uncontrollable flames. Whether Sister Mercy met with infernal pact or found redemption remains a mystery.
