Clan Toreador is a clan devoted to everlasting beauty. They are a clan of artists and those who seek to feel again through sensation. They are the beautiful people in the world of darkness. They seek to bring light and culture to the rest of the kindred by showing the beauty of the world. The Toreador as a clan stay very close to humanity so that new trends in art, fashion, and style can be followed or derided. They will use humanity for their ends but most will stop before ugliness mars something beautiful.

Though they are a clan of artists not all Toreador create, thus there are two main types of Toreador - Artistes and Poseurs . An Artiste is driven to create new and exciting art forms that vary from painting, sculpting, writing, and singing to martial arts and bodybuilding (sculpting yourself). They are consumed by the concept of adding beauty to the world and showcasing it. Poseurs on the other hand are more interested in enjoying what others, especially their Artiste clan mates, have created and overdosing on the experiences. They are the ones most likely to hold parties and similar social events. They surround themselves with opulence and pleasure. Poseurs are the Toreador not actually able to create anything new or artistic, though they fully support it, or if they don't will try to tear it down with snide comments to others. Many Poseurs are the critics of their clan mates' art

The Toreador see themselves as the cream of the crop in Kindred society. They are the elite of the Kindred world. They strive to maintain perfection in front of all others. To this end they cloak themselves in deception as much as art. Many Toreador have underhanded dealings in the black market and less than reputable areas of commerce. If it will keep them in their world of beauty it is likely that they will exploit others and then cover it up like it never happened.

The Toreador are the clan of the Rose, beautiful, stylish, elegant, and refined. But a rose also has thorns, which can harm those too close or who try to get too close. While the Toreador are not known for their battle skill, and why should they be; there are lesser clans for that, there are few who would willingly pick a social battle with them. In the political areas and Elysia, they are the heavy hitters who will not hold back. Few are the ones who can best a Toreador socially and not bear away many scars. For this reason Toreadors make well equipped Harpies. They are simply naturally suited to the role. Most enjoy snipping at each other so why not make those outside of the clan feel the lash of their tongue as well?

Toreador Disciplines: Auspex, Celerity, Presence

Clan Advantages: Arts - All Toreador have interests in the arts, and thus gain Academics, Crafts, Performance, or Subterfuge Abilities (one Trait in two or two Traits of one).

Toreador can use their artistic abilities to feed, gaining one Blood Trait for each level possessed in the abilities above, requiring 15 minuets per Blood taken.

Clan Disadvantages: Entranced - The clan is transfixed by all things beautiful. When confronted with a work of great beauty and skill (three levels or more), a Toreador will try to decipher its meaning, completely lost in a fugue state. They must expend a Mental Trait to break from this entrancement, though physical disturbances can also do the same.
