Quietus Rituals
Assamite Rituals (LoE pg. 86)

The Tremere are not the sole masters of Thaumaturgy. The Assamites have developed a number of rituals since their curse at the hands of the Triere. You are required to have mastery of the appropriate level of the Quietus discipline to be able to learn one of these rituals of the same level.

Basic

Blood of Peace - As per LoE
Time Required: 10 minutes.
Duration: 10 minutes
Components: 2 blood traits
Availability: Assamite
Prerequisites: Quietus - Basic
Ability: Assamite Lore - 3, Occult - 5.
Makes a Blood point in to a toxin that makes a mortal fall in to a deep sleep when it touches them.


Blood Call - As per LoE
Time Required: 10 minutes.
Duration: Permanent
Components: A blood trait from both parties, and permanent mental trait from both parties
Availability: Assamite
Prerequisites: Quietus - Basic
Ability: Assamite Lore - 3, Occult - 5.
If either vampire is destroyed the other gets a vison of the details of the deceased's death.


Intermediate

Light of Vengeance - As per LoE
Time Required: 20 minutes.
Duration: one night, or until all charges are used.
Components: an artifical light source and a blood trait.
Availability: Assamite
Prerequisites: Quietus - Intermediate
Ability: Assamite Lore - 4, Occult - 5.
If you beat a target in a mental vs physical challenge then they take an Aggravated wound. Each successful hit removes a blood trait from the light. each attack can only have one target.

War Prayer Shirt (writen by Lane Simpson)
Casting Time: 4 Hours
Cost: 4 XP
Components: The components of this ritual are a spool of white thread, a shirt and a point of the caster's blood.
Availability: Created by Samirah al-Khalidah
Prerequisites: Quietus - Intermediate
Ability: Assamite Lore - 4, Occult - 5, Crafts: Sewing - 1.
System: The caster of this ritual must take a point of her blood and pour it into a bowl which she then places the thread in, making certain to cover it with the blood. The caster then begins to pray over the ritual items, intoning prayers of protection and thanksgiving to whomever her specific god happens to be. The thread will eventually soak up the point of blood it was placed in, turning a rich red color. The caster must then take the time to sew a set of prayers into the shirt itself, usually mimicking the same intonations that were muttered over the thread originally. These prayers ask that the bearer of this shirt be mystically, some say divinely, protected from harm. When the prayers have been sewn into the shirt it will then effectively become one point of armor that can be concealed beneath clothing or even other armor. However, the bearer cannot wear more than one War Prayer Shirt at a time or the blouses will lose their magical properties. Some say it is best not to ask too much of the divine powers.

Note: These shirts are rooted in the ancient Arabic practice of War Prayer Shirts that wives would sew for their husbands. Before going into battle the wife would place this shirt on beneath her husband's armor and pray that Allah would protect him from harm. The practice is suspected of having even more ancient roots, going all the way back to the Kingdoms of Egypt


Advanced

Healing Blood - As per LoE
Time Required: 10 minutes.
Duration: Instant
Components: 10 minutes of meditation, spending 2 mental traits.
Availability: Assamite
Prerequisites: Quietus - Advanced
Ability: Assamite Lore - 5, Occult - 5.
After meditating you may heal Agg by expending a blood per Agg



Dementation Rituals
(these rituals were developed by HoB players and passed by the HoB Narrator's Council)

Created from the insightful and sometimes warped foundations of Dementation, blood rituals devised from the madness of the discipline have surfaced. Only those who have studied the intircacies of the advanced levels of Dementation, performed in depth occult research, and studied the detailed blood aspects that express the disciplines properties have been able to unearth these new rituals. These rituals may only be instructed by their creators or by those who have been tutored. Appropriate levels of the Dementation discipline must be possessed in order to learn the relevant ritual level.


Basic

Scry
Time Required: 10 minutes. (writen by Brian Steele Avery)
Duration: until answer apears
Components: a Gallon of water in a clear container, and the casters blood.
Availability: Malkavian (rare)
Prerequisites: Dementation - Basic
Ability: Malkavian Lore - 3, Occult - 5.
Notes: Casting this ritual requires spending a blood trait and a willpower trait.
To perform this ritual a Malkavian must ask out loud a 'Yes' or 'No' question to a gallon of water in a clear container. Then the user must meditate on the question for 10 minutes. At the end of ten minutes they must pour a blood point directly from there body into the water. Then by watching the patterns it makes as it disperses they will receive an answer to there question. The answer given may not always be exact and may function with 'Magic 8 Ball' qualities.

Alienation (writen by Brandon Hinson)
Time Required: 10 minutes.
Duration: Scene or Hour
Components: Three identical marbles.
Availability: Malkavian (rare)
Prerequisites: Dementation - Basic
Ability: Malkavian Lore - 3, Occult - 5.
Notes: Casting this ritual requires a Static Mental Challenge with a difficulty of nine traits.
The caster must use three similar marbles as components to this ritual. One marble must be separated from the other two and kept on the caster for the duration of this ritual. At anytime during the night, the caster may place the Flaw: Eerie Presence on a single target. The effects of this ritual lasts for a scene or an hour.

Buried Secrets (writen by Brandon Hinson)
Time Required: 10 minutes.
Duration: Scene or Hour
Components: a wooden box and a key.
Availability: Malkavian (rare)
Prerequisites: Dementation - Basic
Ability: Malkavian Lore - 3, Occult - 5.
Notes: Casting this ritual requires a Static Mental Challenge against the target.
The caster must use a wooden box and a key as components for this ritual. The box must be previously locked and left open by a matching key for the duration of this ritual. At anytime during the night, the caster may target a single person and obtain knowledge into a single derangient possessed by the target and the reasons for having it.


Intermediate

Bottled Emotion (writen by Brandon Hinson)
Time Required: 20 minutes.
Duration: Until the bottle is broken or opened, or until the end of the night.
Components: a wooden box and a key.
Availability: Malkavian (rare)
Prerequisites: Dementation - Intermediate
Ability: Malkavian Lore - 4, Occult - 5.
Notes: Casting this ritual requires a Static Mental Challenge against the target.
The caster must use a clear bottle with cork as a component for this ritual. At anytime during the night, the caster may target a selected individual who is outwardly displaying an iotion. The caster must gesture to the open bottle and speak the nature of the emotion aloud (Anger, Fear, Love, etc.) and be successful in a Static Mental Challenge against the target. The bottle must then be sealed with the cork. The effects of this ritual do not extend to potential Frenzy tests for vampires as the urges of the Beast are innate and primal. If the bottle is opened, the emotion will immediately return to the target. The effects of this ritual last for the night.

Asylum (writen by Brandon Hinson)
Time Required: 20 minutes.
Duration: scene or hour
Components: a half full or half empty cup or glass of any size
Availability: Malkavian (rare)
Prerequisites: Dementation - Intermediate
Ability: Malkavian Lore - 4, Occult - 5.
Notes: Casting this ritual requires a Static Mental Challenge with a difficulty of nine traits.
The cup or glass must be half full (or half empty) with water while the caster meditates. At anytime during the night, the caster may make a Static Mental Challenge against a selected target. If successful, the caster may lower a targets Virtue Trait by one (1). The Virtue Trait is selected by the caster. The effects of this ritual lasts for a scene or an hour.

Lobotomy (writen by Brandon Hinson)
Time Required: 20 minutes.
Duration: Until the bottle is broken or opened, or until the end of the night.
Components: a pair of tweezers
Availability: Malkavian (rare)
Prerequisites: Dementation - Intermediate
Ability: Malkavian Lore - 4, Occult - 5.
Notes: Casting this ritual requires a Static Mental Challenge against the target.
The tweezers must be kept on the caster for the duration of the ritual. At anytime during the night, the caster may choose a target and engage them in a Static Mental Challenge. If successful, the target may temporarily lose a personal derangement of their choice. The effects of this ritual lasts for the night.


Advanced

Lunacy Ward (writen by Brian Steele Avery)
Time Required: 30 minutes. (9 hours if permanent)
Duration: the night, or permanent
Components: the item to be warded, a point of blood from all those to be attuned, and a point of blood from the caster
Availability: Malkavian (rare)
Prerequisites: Dementation - Advanced
Ability: Malkavian Lore - 5, Occult - 5.

The caster must have a particular item as a focus for this ritual. Any iti between the size of a door or a dagger may be warded. Upon meditating and pouring a blood trait on a particular item, the caster may emmbue it with any one derangement that he has familiarity with (any personal derangement's or those granted through use of the Dementation discipline). Anyone who touches the item will gain the specified derangement for a scene or an hour. This ritual ceases after it has been transferred once however the caster may spend a permanent mental trait to make the effects on the item permanent. You can specifically exclude certain individuals from the effect if each donates a point of blood to be attuned to the item.
