House Rules and Clarifications
Held within are the official rulings for the Habit of Being LARP game in Milledgeville.
They may contradict rulings or listings in other source books. We have tried to follow the
Mind's Eye Theater (MET) books as much as possible, but there may be times when a new rule
will be instituted to make the game more enjoyable. As a constant rule, though, the rules
within the HoB House Rules section are absolute and take priority in this chronicle.
Before we enter the realm of game mechanics, it is important to stress a fundamental
point: This is a role-playing game built on a theatrical premise. These rulings are taken
from the standpoint of making the game more vulnerable to role-playing - not "numerology"
(i.e. min/max power gaming). Please keep in mind that much occurring in our game is powered by
the supernatural realm. Not all of it is going to make sense or be logical. In the event that
there is a rule that does not make logical sense to you, a storyteller may be sought to clear
things up. There are times when a ruling may be difficult in the struggle between logic and
theatrics -- theatrics will win every time. Period.
In the event that a rule within may not seem clear, is too vague, you disagree with or
is not covered, please write down your concern and present it to a storyteller. At that time
they will address the issue with you and keep the written suggestion for a possible update to
House Rules. Updates are handled constantly, so the House Rules section should be updated by
next game if the ruling is accepted. EVERYTHING should be in the House Rules sections if it
is not clearly covered in another MET book.
